The 21st China Steel Industry Chain Summit, coupled with the inauguration ceremony for the 30th anniversary of Lange Steel Net (lgmi.com), was successfully convened in Beijing from November 14 to 16, 2025. The event saw the participation of senior figures from China National Association of Metal Material Trade (CAMT). Notably, Association President Li Gang, Executive President and Secretary-General Chen Leiming were invited to attend and chaired the summit's main forum on the afternoon of November 16.

This conference closely aligned with the strategic arrangements for new-type industrialization and the manufacturing power strategy in the 15th Five-Year Plan period, with the theme of "Collaborating to Break Involution & Uniting to Pursue Development". It conducted in-depth deliberations on key topics including supply chain innovation, supply-demand synergy, green transformation, centralized procurement by central state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and market and macroeconomic outlook for 2026. The event aimed to pool wisdom and inject new momentum for the steel industry chain to overcome current challenges and achieve high-quality development.

The conference was structured with one main forum and 14 parallel thematic sub-forums, drawing the participation of nearly 4,000 attendees—including government leaders, renowned economists, prominent entrepreneurs, steel industry pioneers, and elites from upstream and downstream sectors across China—to collectively formulate the future blueprint for the development of the steel industry.

Li Gang, Co-Chairman of China National Association of Metal Material Trade and President of South China Material Group Co., Ltd., presided over the high-level dialogue session of the conference. He conducted a high-caliber, in-depth, and forward-looking ideological exchange with distinguished guests including Liu Jianjun (Secretary-General of China Special Steel Enterprise Association), Tan Naifen (Deputy Secretary-General of China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry), Du Xiangzhong (General Manager of the Procurement Management Department at China Railway Materials Group Co., Ltd.), Guo Qing (Vice President of Zhejiang Southeast Space Frame Co., Ltd.), Ge Weichao (Deputy Director of the Marketing Department at Jianlong Group), Bai Xiangfeng (Deputy Director of the Business Center at Zhengda Zhiguan Group), and Ma Li (General Manager and Chief Analyst at Lange Steel). Centered on the core themes of "Pathways to High-Quality Development of the Steel Supply Chain in 2026, Evolution of Market Supply-Demand Dynamics, and Strategies for Industry Opportunities and Challenges", the dialogue consolidated industry consensus, clarified future directions, and elevated the professional depth and intellectual value of the conference to a new level.

The Construction Steel Branch of CAMT, in collaboration with Lange Steel, co-hosted one of the parallel sub-forums—the "2025 Annual Forum on the Development of the Cold-Rolled Coated Sheet Industry Chain".

Sun Jinggang, Secretary-General of the Construction Steel Branch of CAMT, presided over both the forum session and the high-level dialogue segment. The forum, themed "New Cycle, New Direction, New Opportunities", convened more than 300 industry leaders, enterprise representatives, and academic experts from the upstream and downstream segments of the coated sheet industry chain. The participants engaged in joint discussions on industry development trends and consolidated consensus on innovation.

During the high-level dialogue segment, Sun Jinggang engaged in in-depth deliberations on the "Demand Development Trends of Coated Sheets" with cross-sectoral guests from fields including pharmaceutical equipment, refrigeration, electronic chassis, and international trade. These guests included:

During the dialogue segment, Li Jing conducted in-depth analytical assessments of the market landscape and development trends of the steel structure and it’s supporting industrial chain, together with distinguished guests including:
